Wedding in Sol Y Mar Hotel Calpe – Janet and Shawn Richards

A fantastic day in Calpe – North Costa Blanca for a destination wedding in the Sol y Mar hotel (one of the many lovely venues on the North of the Costa Blanca) it was.

Wedding guests from all over the world came to see the bride and groom tie the knot on their wedding day. The atmosphere was chilled (ok Janet, not when you get lipstick on your wedding dress – arrrrghh!) and everybody looked their best. Thank god house keeping helped out there. Once that was out the way, nothing could stop them.

The wedding in Sol y Mar

The wedding ceremony took place outside at the Beach club of Sol y Mar, the beach club. Panoramic views of the sea and the rock of Calpe as a backdrop, a setting for a perfect wedding.

The bride walked down the aisle with her bridesmaids. Their dresses matched really well with the whole wedding theme.

After saying their vows, Shawns son recited a moving poem and their daughter played a tune on the piano,..magical.

The reception

The wedding reception was held by the pool of Sol y Mar. People could enjoy their drinks with a breathtaking view of the sea and setting sun. After the reception people were seated in the dining room that would be the stage for the rest of the evening. The newly weds openden the dance floor with the first dance Oh,..must not forget the surprise firework display, stunning!
